Recuperative care program

Recuperative care (also known as medical respite) is a not-for-profit program that offers healthcare providers a safe place to discharge homeless patients when they no longer require hospitalization but still need to heal from an illness or injury.

At GEM Initiative, our recuperative care programs offer a temporary home where guests can recuperate and heal while receiving top-tier services and support from highly skilled and caring staff. We exist to provide radical safe and a healing environment in which everyone under our care can thrive.

We give patients a fresh start.

Our experience has proven that homeless patients develop a newly affirmed vigor and desire to thrive when we provide them a safe, clean, comfortable, place to sleep; all the healthy food they need; medical care and mental health services.

“We will effect the homeless population in a positive manner, one Bed at a Time”
